RJS_Psycho 621 Posted February 19 So as all should know by now, we have a single call out on the game on numpad 9 "Medic!!!" to call for a medic. We're opening a vote for community suggestions about new voice call outs to be added to numpad 0-8. This topic and vote will be open for the next 12 hours, at which point, we'll be recording the voice call outs in studio with voice actor for implementation. There is also the possibility for one of the call outs to be made by a female community member, which we'll be exploring out of the suggestions. We'd like these call outs to be tactical in nature (to be used in a tactical situation), and not taunts. Those will be done later at a different key setting. Thanks
RJS_Kin 9 Posted February 19 We need something along the lines of "Push!" or "Go go go!" - My suggestion: Push! When a team is cornered, there are key moments when that one kill happens and the whole squad should just go through that breach.
NitroViper 19 Posted February 19 (edited) "Hey Behind You" turns around gets knifed...."Enemy spotted" But when pressed it puts a tiny mark on the area of your cursor for a few seconds. I love this in Ring of Elysium. *probably terrible idea in a game without squads of 4 or less. "Shut your Piehole!" @community member Desire. "Nice Potato Aim" "Over Here" freaks out enemy and they move from being stationary and give their position away if close enough to hear it. "Get in Cover" "Get to the Zone!" "We need PSP's asap" "Get down and stay down" Hopefully they have like a 20 seconds cooldown? Or teams could just spam them lol. I personally only see them being for fun. Some comedy. No one ever really uses them in games that Ive played but the "hey behind you" was always fun when you snuck up behind someone. That was the worst sound ever lol. DUZ 448 Posted February 19 The "competitive" matches we played in the last days can be used to know the most necessary call-outs. As mentioned in Discord, there's two different things here: Radio call-outs (all your team will hear) or yelling call-outs (only nearby teammates will hear). For radio call-outs I'd like to see words representing these ideas: "On me" "Sector clear" "Affirmative" Not sure about: "Far right/left" (or something indicating an enemy in the right/left side) I will post more ideas if I remember any. RJS_Psycho 621 Posted February 19 Loving the ideas so far! For now we only have yelling call outs, both enemies and friends in a certain radius can hear it. Radio callouts if done later, will only be for team mates.
cesium-137 42 Posted February 19 (edited) Some will work while other will not for this game .. but ill guess you'llll know what you need for TFE Edited February 19 by cesium-
RJS_lllama loves you 333 Posted February 19 medic / on me / left / right / zooooone / a / b / c - those are the ones I use from time to time 🙂
RJS_lllama loves you 333 Posted February 19 @RJS_Psycho two objections: 1. TKL keyboards 2. people using numpad to play the game instead of WASD @2 - seems numpad asterisk could activate callout menu, but what about 1?
Lost 178 Posted February 19 So, we're supposed to have a numpad on our keyboard? What's the plan if we don't? @cesium-137showed how nova used drop downs from keys that all keyboards have.
pure 1 Posted February 19 "Hey!" "Wake up", "Look alive", "Pay Attention" "Wait for me!" "Clear the zone!" "Affirmative" & "Negative" "Go, go go!" "Shhhh", "Quiet", "Shut it!", "Knock it off", "Stop shooting!", etc. "Pssssst!", or even a cat call would be funny "pspspspsps" Some funny taunts ("That's all you got?" ) and random noises/yells like in DFX2 & BHD. Celebrations ("Sorry, did I kill ya?", etc) Fake death?
NitroViper 19 Posted February 19 Thing is these are rarely used anymore, that's why I mentioned they are mostly for comedy like the "hey behind you" These days with discord and every other voice app hardly anyone uses these.
RJS_Psycho 621 Posted February 19 Hardcoded into numpad is just the first step, while we develop the proper system which will be based on radial menu by push of a button (tbd/rebindable). Not the question of the topic tho, we're just taking this opportunity to record the voice call outs now, since we're booking the studio/actor for other stuff we're working on, and will be more cost efficient this way.

Kattoor 216 Posted Monday at 09:05 AM Personally I LOVE how they did callouts in Smite (MOBA game). It's kind of the same as in CSGO. Starting by pressing V, you can make your character yell (+ type in chat) a lot of different callouts. Example: V -> F -> 1 would make your character yell (+ type in chat): "Enemy missing left!" This is a great way for team communication for people who don't [feel comfortable using / have access to] a mic. For TFE, this could be something like: VA[1,2,3] -> Attack [left, forward, right]! VD[1,2,3] -> Defend [left, middle, right]! VM[1,2,3] -> Enemy missing [left, middle, right]! VI -> Enemies incoming! VH -> Need healing / medic! VE[1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9] -> the callout emotes you guys are talking about A simple Smite callout cheat sheet with some examples: (# means numpad 1, 2 or 3 - respectively meaning left, middle or right) Check at 4:20:
